BKTY landed on #3 spot on Hello Playdate Podcast’s Don’s GOTY list! And the hosts were so extra nice about the game that I’m blushing even copying the transcript here.
Don: This is a side-scrolling shooter with just a million features and layers to the scoring and just a lot of charm and polish. (…) Mouflon Cloud just packs his games with so much love! And you can just tell he’s passionate about his games. And it comes through to the players because every nook and cranny of the game, the menus and everything has so much information in it. The website that he set up for it has is just beautiful. It’s just a different type of experience to play a Mouflon Cloud game. It’s like a AAA experience on the Playdate. I can’t really think of any other game like it.
Ryan: It was also going to say really thought-provoking, too. Like, I remember playing this game, and yes, it looks like a side-scrolling space shooter, but really it’s more puzzly than that.
